For the curious about my internet handle:
Síscéal is Irish for fairytale. It's pronounced sorta like "shee-scal". I started using it, uh, a very long time ago (about when I stopped using Eternity everywhere) as a nod to the incredibly unlikely, dark and yet so charmed story my life has been known to follow.

Pls no comments about how Irish makes no sense- it is super phonetic once you have learned how it works, and just because it doesn't map onto the Roman alphabet in the same way English does... anyway. /rant

Irish totally makes sense, I just keep finding bits of the system that I've missed. Why is it 'sish-cal' and not 'shish-cal'?

Oh, that totally makes sense that phonemes in one morpheme wouldn't necessarily be affected by those in another. Thank you!
